The importance of Meditation

Dear Friends.

We receive signs every day from those on the other side. We need to be aware of them and honor them.

What's one of those signs ... Lady bugs !!

Often, I see lady bugs in my office and in the master bathroom of my house. Vinny at first thought we were having a real problem. When I explained to him that lady bugs are a sign from Mary, he learned to honor them. When he sees them now, he will jokingly say, "Mary is in the bathroom!" It warms my heart to see lady bugs and to have a physical sign that Mary is with us. But where did the name "lady bug" come from? It isn't just a sign for me, but for all of us.

The original name of the lady bug is "Our Lady's Bug." During the Middle Ages, a plague of small insects attacked the crops, threatening Europe with starvation. The people prayed to Mother Mary. In answer to their prayer, a cloud of small, black-spotted, orange-red insects arrived and promptly ate all the offending pests. The grateful population gave to them the name, "Our Lady's Bugs." We have come to know this insect as "lady bug." When a lady bug shows up (especially out of season) it is a sign that Mary is with you.

So know that when you see them, the love of Mary is all around you.
