A young girl of courage, strength and perseverance

Dear Friends,

I have been on a whirlwind book tour! My eyes and heart have been open to all that heaven wants to teach me.

We recently stayed in a B&B in San Francisco named Hotel Cornell. Little did I know that the hotel is dedicated to Joan of Arc, a visionary, mystic and, dare I say, a medium. Yes, Joan of Arc received messages from heaven and followed them. To me, Joan of Arc is a woman whose life taught us faith, love, courage and perseverance. Like Joan of Arc, we are being asked to have the same traits as we walk the journey of our lives.

Joan, a teenager, six hundred years ago, rose from obscurity to champion Charles VII of France and lead the

French army to important victories during the Hundred Years' War. When she was thirteen years old, Joan began to hear voices from heaven, which gave her a mission to save France by expelling its enemies, and to install Charles as its rightful king. In a private audience at his castle at Chinon, Joan of Arc won the future Charles VII over by revealing information that only a messenger from God could know. Ultimately, because the enemy feared her, Joan was tried on 70 counts including witchcraft. The greatest charge rendered against her was wearing men's clothing! On the morning of May 30, at the age of 19, Joan was taken to the old market place of Rouen and burned at the stake by the Anglo-Burgundian forces.

They might have murdered her, but they did not destroy her legacy. Her story makes us look deep within ours to speak our truth with courage and strength in the way of Joan of Arc.
